Privacy policy
This is a plain-language summary of how StitchVault handles cookies, advertising, and personal data. The short version: we collect very little, and we don’t sell anything we collect.
What we collect automatically
When you visit StitchVault, our server records standard request information: your IP address, the page you requested, the page that linked you to us (the "referrer"), the time of the request, and your browser and operating system. This information is used to operate the site, debug problems, and produce aggregate traffic statistics. We retain raw access logs for 30 days.
Cookies
StitchVault itself uses one functional cookie to remember your preferred view density on category pages. We do not use first-party cookies for advertising or behavioral tracking. Our advertising partners (see below) may set their own cookies — these are governed by their respective privacy policies.
Advertising
StitchVault displays advertisements through Google AdSense and other ad networks. These networks may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to measure ad performance and personalize the ads you see. You can manage personalized advertising preferences through Google’s Ad Settings page and through the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out tool.
Information you give us
If you contact us by email, submit a pattern, or report an issue, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We use that information only to respond to you. We don’t add email addresses to a marketing list and we don’t share them with third parties.
How long we keep things
Email correspondence is kept for as long as it remains useful — usually 24 months. Pattern submissions are kept indefinitely if they are accepted, and deleted within 90 days if they aren’t. Raw access logs are deleted after 30 days. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics are kept indefinitely.
Your rights
You can request a copy of any personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to privacy@stitchvault.example. We respond to these requests within 30 days.
Children’s privacy
StitchVault is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Substantive changes are announced on our home page for at least two weeks.
